Important points about mixing pesticides or fertilizers
🔹 For mixing pesticides, from a physical perspective, prepare each pesticide A and B with the recommended dose in separate containers and then add half of each into a third container: The container holding both pesticides should not become warm. The container holding both pesticides should not form sediment. The container holding both pesticides should not separate into two phases. The container holding both pesticides should not have crystalline particles. The container holding both pesticides should not undergo excessive color change. Important note: Containers should be glass so that sediment, color changes, and other issues can be clearly observed. 🔻 If none of the above problems are observed when mixing the two pesticides, a small test spraying on one section of the plants can be done cautiously to ensure that the solution does not cause plant burning. If no damage is seen, the mix can be used. (Sometimes, despite no visible issues, it might negatively affect crop performance.) 🔹 General precautions for pesticide mixing: For example: Acidic pesticides should not be mixed with alkaline pesticides. Pesticides containing copper should not be mixed with other pesticides. Pesticides with sulfur compounds should not be mixed with other pesticides. If possible, insecticides should not be mixed with herbicides. The pH of the pesticide mixture should be monitored to ensure it remains within the normal range. 🌹 Safety measures during pesticide spraying: 🌻 Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including a full-body work suit with cotton lining, a neoprene apron, long rubber gloves with a cotton lining, rubber boots with cotton socks, a hat, goggles, face shield, and a suitable respiratory mask. 🌻 Avoid consuming any food or beverages, and refrain from smoking during the spraying process. 🌻 Keep people, especially children, the elderly, those with heart or respiratory conditions, and pregnant women away from the spraying area, and remove animals and birds from the area. 🌻 Do not spray in the direction of the wind or during rain. 🌻 Avoid entry into the sprayed area for at least 24 hours. 🌹 Safety measures after pesticide spraying: 🌻 Clean and wash spraying equipment at the end of each workday, and avoid leaving any pesticide residue in the sprayer pump in rivers, stagnant, or flowing waters. 🌻 Do not use empty pesticide containers for storing food or animal feed. 🌻 Collect empty containers and pesticide packets, and dispose of them properly. 🌻 Conduct regular health checks every 6 months for spraying workers. 🌻 Bathe after finishing work, change all clothes, and wash all protective equipment with soap and water. The health of both ourselves and workers is of great importance. Please be sensitive about this matter and educate others on it. Respectfully, Kianoush Zarei
